lower w/o rims?

hello, i just got my license and my dad just gave me his 2000 3.2TL. i was wondering if lowering the car without ever getting rims would look funny/ugly? the only other exterior things i plan on doing are tinting and adding a big exhaust tip.

anyone have pics of a lowered TL w/o rims?

Definitely don't go with the big tip, you would get pegged for just another civic driver with a cherry bomb muffler (only in a nicer car), you don't want to be one of those guys do you? Go for the quality, it's a quality car. And lowering does look great no matter whether it's stock or aftermarket rims on these cars.

it'll look nice defently...but my opinion is a tip is a tip and a tip is kinda ricy/cheap....i understnad that being 16/17? you probably dnt have alot of moeny to spend....im 17 and thiers alot that i want that i cant get....so if an exhaust isnt in oyur budget then i guess tip will suffice...not my cup of tea tho...

btw...fire pepper red is a hot color

i don't think that there is anything wrong with classy tips on a tl considering the cash to hp ratio of a real exhaust. you could get tips, headers and intake for the price of the comptech catback

I agree, classy tips are not a bad addition, however, he stated, "big" tips. I myself changed over the stock silver ones to the nicer gold tips, I just don't think the wanna-be cherry bomb muffler look is hot. All a cat back exhaust will get you on our cars is a couple h/p and a louder sound, unless your car looks aggressive, it will just make the car sh** compared to the classy car it could be.

i got the 3a racing oval exhaust tips. they look great. i would never spend more than $300 on an exhaust that will give you 0-1 hp. all you get out of it is some noise. is that noise worth more than $300 for you?

i really dont want the noise. i want the tip for the look. the stock exhausts just look too janky.

I was lowered for about 6 months till I got my rims. IMO it still look good with stock rims. Now I am rolling on stock until summer, and to me I like it just the same
