we had some heavy rain down here in south florida tuesday. enough that i had water washing over the hood of my tl now i hear a constant lound humming sound from inside the engine. has anyone ever been through water like this and experienced this sound.

 

Yikes. No can't say I've heard that. My suggestion....

Have it towed to the dealer and have them check it out. Do not drive it.

 

yah I travel to Florida once a year. One thing I hate is, when Florida gets rain, you better hide. We had a storm like 3 years ago in December, and lemme tell you. My windstar had water almost up to the outside rear view mirrors. My tires and engine were completely under water. Not to mention how surprised I was that the car was able to drive like 15 MPH in that, and nothing happened to the engine

 

wow. i thought 2 inches of deep water is alot... hah i would let the car dry off and wait before i drive it. give it like a week. or tow it to a dealer.
