lost window "auto" after speaker install

Hey.

Threw some Polks in the front of the car and things sound great.

But, after reinstalling the door panels, everything works except the Auto Up and Auto Down no longer works. I can put the driver side window up or down.... just the Auto part doesn't work any more.

Anyone knows how exacty the Auto part of the button works?

What did I do or forget? I hooked all the wires back up.

(I also got the alarm light by the lock button to work again... alarm installers forgot to hook it back up. I thought it was just knocked out when the sensors were put in )

Well letsee,

Power windows under instruments and controls says:

1)Start the engine. Push down on the driver's window switch until the window is fully open

2)Pull back on the driver's window switch to close the window completely, then hold the switch for a second or two more.

Voila

No. I'm in for the evening. The car's about a block away down the street.

But I will try it in the morning. Sounds like holding the button after rolling the window up turns on the Auto? Yeah... I'd like that feature back. I use it a lot.

Are you sure? My CL has auto down and up. Like when you close your window you pull up right? Well I do that and if I pull it up a little bit more, it activates the auto up feature. Same thing with the auto down, I push down lightly to open it but push the button all the way down to roll down the window automatically.

Joey what are you talking about? We have Auto Up and Down for the driver window. Or at least the '02 and up TL's have it.

uhh... yeah we do. Up and down. Works fine after I did the reset of the limits of the window.

Idiots? Noobs? Somebody seems cranky. Might be time to give mommy or daddy their car back.

No, seriously, it's internet geek-speak for "newbie." As in "someone who is new to this forum".
