You have to call the Violations Bureau. Be honest and tell them what happened and ask them to reissue the citation for payment. You'll still probably have to pay an additional fine for being late, but the bureau will probably abstain from issuing a bench warrant for a while in light of your situation.

Dirk

P.S. The courthouse of the city or county in which the ticket was issued will be the place to call...

Help for the lost ticket

Call the police dept. that issued the ticket they will refer you to a number where you can call, if not you can go to your local traffic court and pay there directly...

Had to do this plenty of times

If its from a state trooper your local police dept works directly with them so you shouldn't run into any problems

haha you might want to get your ticket reissued and make sure they don't have a warrant out for your arrest
