Loose steering

There has been some discussion about CL-S steering losing some of its preciseness after about 10,000 miles. Someone speculated that there was some part in the steering gear that is wearing prematurely. Has anyone noticed this on a type -S TL. If you have please also state your model year. Im ready to buy a CL-S six speed but need to get this issue resolved.

Nope... never really heard of this complaint on either forums. The only time the steering is affected is if you lower the car. It kind of tightens it up. Other then that, except for a few one off complaints.. I haven't heard anything....

it felt tighter when i lowered it... but after driving it from a long time it started to feel loose. I think it's just a mental thing cause i drove around a rental car for a while and when i drove my car again the steering wheel felt really tight and sturdy.
