Look out for 04 CTS

Just read an article that said Cadillac will be coming out with its "V-Series" versions of the CTS. According to the article, the 2004 CTS will get powertrain and suspension upgrades, different sheet metal and interior.

Here's the killa.....The current CTS puts out 220hp, the V-Series will have "AT LEAST 350hp":wow: :wow:

So watch out for future CTS's

Hey Hokie D,

In your sig, you have the TL-S speedo at 140 mph at 5900 RPM!
Is it real? Because, you must be crazy to pump up the engine at that speed with the TEMP GAUGE @ COLD. (Look at the TEMP indicator.)

Tell me it is photoshop please!

Didn't even look that close, I would have never noticed that....lol.
I think if you hit 140 your engine would be warm, or at least off the bottom of the guage. I drive two blocks and the needle starts moving.

It will have a LS1 based V8 engine, 350HP, less than $40K from what I've heard. The even better (or worse for acura owners I guess) is that the LS1 has a lot of aftermarked support, and a simple head and cam package will have that at an easy 480HP at the crank.

On another note, the car is still fugly to me though.

I highly doubt they'll have their most powerful car in their lineup for under $40K ... most MSRP's I see on Caddy's run into the high 40's if not low 50's ... but I'll take your word for it -- we're entering a new trend if affordable horsepower.

Looks photoshopped - I think I see all the indicators lights on as if the car were off with the ignition switch in the on position. Not to mention if it was real, 140mph without a seatbelt on is even crazier.

Yeah, maybe it's touched up a bit... I wouldn't dare take my TL that fast with those skinny-a$$ tires.

PS >>

Anyone got any street racing videos of the TL-S? I'd like to see some brave SOB race other people so I don't have to.

Could the speedo be way-off? My TLS was at 140 several times, always wanting to offer more, but just running out of road or the overdose of adrenaline preventing me from doing so.

it will have the corvette Z06 motor in 2005.

my TL-S cuts out at about 147MPH.

I am trying to figure out how to get around it...

Tires ! Tires ! The stock 215/50/17 tires are only V rated up to 150mph. Use Y or Z rated tires before you proceed any further.
