Unhappy Long Island Prices....HELP

I would like to lease the 2002 TL-Type S w/o nav. I have gone to two dealers in Suffolk County and they both want to use a cap price of $30,700 which is nearly $2,000.00 above invoice, or as they slyly try to put it $1,000.00 below window sticker.

They act so smug that they have a great car and the supply is short and if I don't buy (lease) the car, then they will just sell it to someone else. Considering that the car costs about $28,680, I think they could easily drop the price to 30,000 or even lower and still make plenty of profit on the vehicle, even if it is popular.

I have two more payments left on my existing 99 Maxima GLE and would like to be in an Acura....but the dealers are making it tough. They are polite, but in their own way arrogant.

Has anyone had a Long Island or NJ dealer give them a good price on the Type S without Nav???? What are people really paying for these cars now??

I recently picked up my new 2002 TL S w/Nav, rear wing, mud flaps, wheel locks, and sun roof deflector for 31200.
