Last night I went to HIN in Philly - After one the way home i drove really fast - racing and all that - did 120 on the turnpike and have it on tape - but i get home and park my car and I wake up the next morning and i start my car and the maintainance required light comes on - i have a 2002 TL-P with 21,500 miles on it i just did an oil change on it last week - everything is up to date with it - why does it come up ?? Thanx

yah they never reset that light... you always have to do it urself

Just reset it yourself by pressing the 2 small button (reset and ?) and turning the key to the 2nd position. Wait like 10 secs and it should turn off. The maintenance light usually comes on every 3-5K mikes and it is just a reminder so don't sweat it.

yeah that light, is preset to come on at certain mile marks, since you do your own oil, don't worry about it. do the ol reset-er-oo

Also, any time you place an object of some weight on the passenger side seat, the side airbag may come on. It will go off if you remove the object from the seat. For some, the airbag light also comes on when their wife sits there.

BTW BlackAc, how was the HIN. I had to work all weekend and couldn't make it.

i went to dat...... and even though i got there at like 10pm it was worth every penny of the $25 i had to pay to get in..... there were sooooo many phat cars...... only like 3 or 4 TLs though

It was sick - I have never gone to one b4 and it was really good. The girls were amazing, even the ones waiting in line - the cars were sick Madd Props to Unique he one 3 trophies i think he had one of the sickest cars there and to the 2 brothers i forgot there name One a a fully decked out White 3.0CL and the other a 2002 Blue Type S. i was kinda disappointed there was not that many imports on the way there or home though - i raced a cavalier and a civc on the way home and that was it

As long as it's not the check engine light, then you might have a problem. Maintenance require is nothing.
