Post the least used gizmo on your TL

Living in Houston I only get to use the seat warmer once in a while, but the least used part has got to be the casette player. I haven't touched it since I got my car. Oh and also the programmable garage door opener since I don't have a garage.

My friend who has a TL also doesn't even know some of the stuff on his car...like the heated side mirror. Or the guide missles to clear out traffic in front of you, or the oil slick to get rid of those pesky tail gaters. What other hidden gadgets you don't know exist on your TL?

Casette player? what are casettes? No for reals I don't even own a casette? Don't know anyone who owns a casette! Never use that thing.

Heated seats? I live in Arizona. I used it once just cause I wanted to make sure that it worked.

Sunroof? use it all the time...especailly since its spring time.

Use the seat warmers all the time....esp. during fall and winter and when i pull a muscle on my lower back after the gym...feels great. Also, the home-link garage opener is the best thing to have since i use it to enter my garage at work and home. No more clunky openers on the visor!

I'm surprised they still put in a cassette player. Save the $15 and put it towards something else Having a cassette player is almost like having an 8 track.

hey i actually use my cassette player a lot. I recorded a few of my favorite songs on there. I can play them whenever I want without having to search thru the cd wallet for em. Maybe if I had a 6disc changer I could leave one disc with all my favs on there, but since I dont, I settle for the ancient tape player.

As for the sunroof...I ALWAYS have the atleast the shade open when driving, I just like the added light it provides.

Heated seats are used every now an then more for keeping my back comfortable than to warm my azz.

You might wanna think about getting a CD burner to create a few CDs w/your favorites.

Haven' t turned off my heated seats and heated mirrors in 5 months.

Use casette player when needed.

Lumbar doesn't crank high enough, so I just leave it alone.

I know what you mean, even with the CDs that I burn, I find that I want to change them too. Oh well, CD changer here I come.. soon as the funds come in.

Adam, We have lumbar?? Where?? I can't find the button for it??

as for gadgets, Cruise Control is hardly used. I used the heated mirrors 1 time.

The roaming preset radio station feature is really cool to use... I use it when I drive to LA. You don't loose your original presets.

There is a lever on the right side of the drivers seat-back. It pumps three times then deflates again. Need to be able to pump it one more time.

The garage thingy, don't use my garage. The lumber thingy, didn't even know we had it. Did anyone forget that they have not used their spare tire? I used it more then enough times. Also I've never used any of my airbags either, that would be a bad thing.

Thats what that thing is?? I was messing with it but it didn't do anything that I could notice..
Even my old Ford had an electronic pump and it did inflate enough.. especially on those long trips...

I actually use casette player, just not for playing tapes back : I have my mp3 cd player hooked up to it. It would be nice to hook it up directly to get rid of little hissing sound at max volume but I haven't found a way to do it easily yet.
Maybe I should ask Streeteffectz...

I use the cassette player once every six months. Heated mirrors I use when my mirrors are frozen but I always forget to turn them off. Umm... Homelink is useless, along with the ash trays. Also, get this, when we got the TL, the second day, I put my dads glasses in the holder on the roof. I was bored and opened it and guess what I found. Yep. The glasses. I haven't opened that thing in almost two years. Useless for me.

How's this for a useless feature? I didn't even know this one existed until I saw another TL with it slid forward:

The center console armrest can slide forward. I guess it's to provide more support.

Wow. I use my sideview mirrors constantly while driving and parking, and I have been very grateful to have those sideview mirror heaters, especially with the two or three episodes of freezing rain this winter. I've scratched up the mirrors on my Integra scraping ice off of it.

Maybe your driveway is inclined so that your mirrors aren't in the wind? Mine were encased every time.

Plus it's not just for ice, it's also good as a defogger.

The #1 most useless gizmo is the CD caddy tray in the non-NAV dashboard. I finally got rid of it two months ago and put in a half-DIN EQ unit.

I've also never used the cruise control yet except to test to see if it worked.
