Post Leasing a TL or CL

I am right on the verge of going to a dealer to lease a TL or CL. Actually on the fence now about possibly leasing a 2001 CL-S due to comments made to me by a dealer this past Saturday that all 01 Acuras will be seriously discounted to make room for 02's, which are due on or about March 15th. With this info, I might lease an 01 car.

What I'd appreciate hearing from members of this list are what type of terms have people gotten when leasing an 01, money down, monthly payment, annual miles, negotiation successes, etc. It just seems to me that the next few weeks are a golden opportunity to get behind the wheel of an 01 without breaking the bank.

I was quoted 442 a month for a 36 month, no money down, 12K per year lease for a CL-S last week. 414 a month for 48 months. Didn't do any bargaining since I need seating for 5.
If I recall, the money factor is .00345

Advertised rates in Jacksonville, FL ...

63 month lease; $1,600 cap reduction ... no security deposit. Rate of $299. 12K miles/yr.

Same deal for 42 months = $349/month.

A lot of folks don't like the long term lease, but I keep a car for 4-5 years or so. The total of payments is about $20,000 ... it comes out to about $10 bucks a day ... try finding that rate at a rental agency.

I suggest you do a 36 month lease because the deals are so good right now on 01 TLs. You'll probably get it for very little money down and around $400-$425 per month.

Thanks for the info. As I get info from the dealers, I'll post it, including the dealers. Glax, who gave you that CL-S quote? I'm also from Jersey, so maybe I'll hit the same dealer.

good luck and let me know if you need a lease calc. I have a nice one for excell that works on Pocket PC's or laptops if you want to bring them to the dealer.
