Lease returns due to transmission failure
Has anyone had their lease agreement canceled due to their transmission problems? I just recently had my fourth transmission replaced last week. While my vehicle was being repaired, I was told by an Acura rep that I might possibly be able to get out of my lease if I were to purchase another acura vehicle. But only if I were to speak to dealer. I met with a dealer last week, and was told that I'd have to deal with Acura directly. After the vehicle was released to me, this same person from Acura's customer care center suddenly had a change of heart and decided that such an agreement would be impossible to arrange. They happen to feel that to take the vehicle from my hands with one year left is not cost effective for them. My argument was how it isn't cost effective for them to keep repairing a vehicle, when they can settle the matter by simply letting me get ouf of my lease with no out of pocket expense. AFTER I was told I can be helped out of my lease, I was offered another resolution. One months payment reimbursed. I declined the offer, and told them I shall pursue my matter by other means. Any advise? comments?

id tell them they are going to buy it back or take it early with no fee due to the amount of failures you had. end of story. be firm with them and possibly look into getting a lawyer. id be in contact with acura client services and hound the heck out of them
