Leak in Transmission

I took my 99 TL to a shop to have the drive axles replaced. When I got home there was smoke coming from under the car. I check and my transmission was empty. I called the shop and they sent a toe truck. When I picked the car up I was told that the ring at the end of the axles was defective and they replaced it and two quarts of transmission fluid. (I purchased new axles). The car drives well, there is no slipping of the transmission but I am concern about damage that may have occurred but no immediate signs or effects. Any signs I should look for?

Id be concerned about things. Id make sure that the info was noted about them being defective if any thing does happen down the road so you may have some type of recourse.

as bad as our trans are now and u drove it without trans fluid and saw smoke. their is gonna be damage done to the trans. make sure that they wrote down that u said their was no trans fluid and u saw smoke, so if your trans does go out in a couple of hundred or thousand miles they should cover it because it was their fault that they didnt put trans fluid it. oh and why did they only put 2quarts of fluid in, shouldnt they put in 3quarts minimum if they drained the trans

they put in the 2 qts it needed because thats all that really leaked out,
OR
they dont know the correct procedure for checking the TL trans fluid level- engine warm and just driven 15 minutes cruising on freeway- now in Park, engine OFF- check level, between dots? its good
Did they even use the special HONDA atf?- expect big problems if they threw in some dex3

Check the fluid level yourself!!!!

smoke was the trans fluid that hit the exhaust system
heat makes it smoke, when you stop the car- it has a convenient way out the hood seams!
