LA/OC shops

Does anyone have recomendations for aftermarket shops in the LA/OC area? This is my first front wheel drive car and need to know which shops to avoid.

I would like to know as well...

I would also like to know of a reputable shop in the Orange County area. I'm planning on buying the Comptech springs and swaybar after reading about them here and need a place that will install them for me that is local.

Dang..no one knows? One thing for sure....St. Andre's initially told me $180 for install of the Comptech Headers. A week later....they tell me $480. I'm like...WTH!??! "Why the over 100% increase in LABOR price for a thousand dollar piece of equipment?" The guy goes to me.."We did a couple and found it more difficult to install than we thought.......you want it done right....RIGHT?"

What an idiotic, greedy answer. If that were the case....then why did the install prices for both the sway bar and AEM CAI go up as well? Avoid ST. ANDRES in southern cal everyone. Shady i say...SHADY!!!

Non-Believer,

I got some H&R's from jim716 at an excellent price. I had them installed by Best Value Tire in Huntington Beach and an alignment for $210. I'm happy with both experiences. Can't help you with the header install but if you PM jim716 he might be able to recommend someone...

El Monte

Discount Tires in El Monte. Loads of tires and rims to choose from, and Vic knows his sheet. They do ALOT of Springs, sways, etc. Not sure bout headers. I had my springs, sways and a 4 wheel alignment done for bout $216.00. My only prob was I needed camber kits on the back wheels. I was running at bout -2.4. Figured it was worth it saving on tires in the long run.
