Yeah but a 2.75 to 3" is tough to find. AEM makes one but it's pricey.

I almost bought parts off of them S&J auto parts...

Instead I found someone in ohio who said they were willing to ship to cali, and they ended up scamming me for $450 and sending me 2 bounced checks.

wait, the CAI is 2.75in and 64mm is~2.5in...am i right?

Anyhows, i'll be checking with Autozon, auto disc, and so on untill i find it.

I'd want to know though, WILL this be the same rubber used by the Type-S intake? 'cause i need the rubber to be the cool injen red to match my engine bay AND the intake

you can buy from em, they came thru for me...after almost 3 weeks, countless ammount of call and emails. I asked for a refund because nobody responded and so i can in contact with the owner, John. who WILL resolve the thing for you.

call em up, maybe they got (can find) more -S Tbs available.

You all are not getting it. Finding a reducer that goes from 3" to 2.75" is tough. You will never find one at Home Depot (no plumbing O.D. is 2.75") You need to make something yourself or get one from AEM (or maybe another CAI vendor that sells them).

I just located one too. I'm picking it up on Monday. And no I checked, he doesn't have any more of them.

Here's a good tip to make sure you're getting a TypeS TB
If the 8th digit in the VIN is a 6, it's a TypeS (CLS or TLS). If it's a 4, it's a CLP/TLP.

NEW INFO on -S tb locations. Apparently S&J Used Auto parts just takes your money with or WITHOUT having your part and after they have your money, they locate the part. Well, my -S tb came from:
Pam's Auto
7505 Ridgewood rd
Saint Cloud MN 56303
1800 560 7336
www.pamsautosalvage.com

Oh, apparently my TB came with a TB tower...there are 2 pieces, the whole assembly, with sensors etc and then theres a second part about 2cm thick under it.

You won't find the VIN on the TB. You need to ask them what car it came off of. They should be able to provide you with the VIN# for the car.

A while back I got what I thought was a TLS TB a while back and I checked the VIN# and low and behold it was from a TLP.

The hose you need is a 3" to 2.75" coupler.

Is that first pic of a type s TB? The inlet under the TB opening in a type s is slight bent down and to the side. The one in the TL-P comes straight out with no bends.
