Post Just received this e-mail from Acura

Thought I'd share it with you guys.

Subject: Do you have standards?

So do we.

That's why we've made numerous features standard on the 2002 TL Type S.
In fact, the only available factory installed option is the Acura
DVD-Based Satellite Linked Navigation System. The TL Type S is fully
loaded with more than you'd expect and everything you'd want from a
high performance luxury sedan.

To get the specifics, click the link below and select "Features & Details."

The 2002 Acura TL Type S. Precision Maximized. Performance Redefined.

What's the deal with that!
It said nothing about the TL S type.

Thumbs down

I received that email too, but nothing new really. I'd rather be told that when the brochure is available.

A buddy of mine works for Genex -- the company who designs/maintains Acura's website.

If you don't like the site design, then your problem is with Genex. But if you don't feel that the site gives enough information... or that the information is not timely, keep in mind that they can only publish information after Acura corporate ok's its release.

I agree with you on their ads though... I don't really want to see a guy reclining for a nap in my car (the Shenandoah Valley commercial...) I think Nissan is doing a great job conveying the sporty image of their cars through their commercials.

Acura commercials seemed geared to the older crowd. I can't wait for Nissan to start advertising the Z on TV. I used to love the old Z commercials. The ones that had the typewriter banging out a Z on paper followed by a real Z burning rubber. “If I had a Z it’d be black, no red…” That was a good one.
