Just Picked up my TL and....

Just picked up a new to me TL, and less then 20 miles later the tranny's gone! Whelp, i'm glad it's still under warranty!
Anyway my question was- my Heated seats are not working- when you toggle the switch to turn them on/off, the lights don't come on, and the seat doesn't warm up. I've checked the fuse in the passenger side, and that's good- does anyone know where i should start checking to hunt this down?
Thanks!

BTW it's a '00 TL, Black on Black- just the way AC/DC wanted it

don't be dissing new members. Sorry to hear about your tranny. You just got unlucky that's all, but Acura will take care of you. BTW which dealer did you take it too to get the tranny fixed?

I highly recommend Markham. Very friendly staff, and the techy's know a lot of s*it.

later/.

Have them check the seat when you fix the tranny. At least they can tell you if it is a DIY repair or more complicated than that.

Hey there-
Yeah, luckly i drove the car around a bit before, and the guy I bought it from (a wholesaler) took it to Acura to have it repaired, and he's throwing it on a truck and shipping it back to me (I flew home, car's in Houston- he really went out of his way to make it right, and he's eating cost of the shipping.) Either way, i got my TL for an absolute steal, it's getting a brand new tranny, and i'm extremely happy with it. Definately a "hit and miss" thing- my mom has a 2001 TL, that she's actually racked up to 100k fairly recently, but no tranny issues whatsoever.

Anyway, i was thinking there might be a harness or a connector somewhere that's become undone. I think it's somewhere between the fuse box and the switches for the heat seaters, as those lights don't switch on (no power to them). Is there several connectors or anything under there that anyone knows about?

Also, anyone in CO know a good place to get tint done? That's the one this TL is lacking, so i want to put a quality tint at 10% done to it.....

Looking for the remotes too if anyone has some to spare

haha- doubtful she knows what "VTEC" is!
She did tell me that she's "tested it out" and it can "get up and go", and that the sport shift is, and i quote, "fun". As long as her boyfriend doesn't get ahold of it, it's alright, as he'll redline every gear

So, wait. samkws lists the '02 TL in his signature, but it's not his car?

Why don't I list my parents' cars? I'll look cool, too.

Back to thread -

I had the same problem with heated seats, and dealer had to replace the switch. Waited for almost a month for it to arrive - seems like they fail a lot.

What did the switch end up costing you?
Did you install it yourself, or have them do it?
