Recall for the seatbelts. I thought the recall had to do with power windows.

 

There is a recall for "some" 2002 TLs for the power windows and a seperate recall for "some" 2002 TLs for the seatbelts. It all depends on what your VIN number is. Mine was recalled for the power window problem only. (My VIN was in the low 2000s) But my seatbelts were not affected.

It seems that some power window control boxes were manufactured that allowed moister to enter the box a possibly cause a problem with the auto-down and/or the auto-up functions. I had mine replaced by the dealer--took 20 minutes.

The seatbelt problem apparently has to do with the latch itself. Seems that if you were in a crash, the latch would deform and not allow you to unbuckle it easily--something that's required.

Both problems only affect certain TLs depending on the manufacture date. The VIN tells Acura which ones are affected. Apparently, yours only has the seatbelt problem.
