Just got off the phone w/ a dealer...

I need to take my car in for an oil change, etc. and while I was there, was going to have them check the alignment.

I've read the other posts about alignment problems and I have similar issues as my car seems to drift to the right, steering wheel slightly off center, etc. - very annoying.

I have a 200TL and he says the alignment work wouldn't be covered under warranty b/c it's past 12 months. Bastards! If that is true and I had known that, I would've taken it in earlier since it's kind of been a lingering problem although not a "major" one.

Does this sound right? Any suggestions???

Alignments were never covered to begin with...unless it wasn't properly aligned when you took delivery.

Yeah, no dealer will cover alignment

Oh, they did some alignment/wheel centering work before (for free) but that was a few months after I had the car. So maybe at that point, it was still considered new and "out of alignment" straight from the factory...

Any idea how much an alignment/steering wheel centering should cost?

Thx...

$50 is a really good price, but expect around $70 for 4-wheel.
