Just got done detailing the TL
What do you guys think?
My process for this was washing the car with Eagle One soap and then moving on to a clay bar. After that I used Scratch X for the deeper scratches. Once that was attended to I bought some Ultimate Compound cause I wanted to see how much of a difference it would make and it make the paint POP. I used it with a Rotary Buffer(Harbor Freight) Instantly it make the car look good again. I did notice there are a lot of little rock chips on the front bumper, I could have sanded them down but that is out of my league for paint correction. After all that was finished I then used a Orbital buffer to wax the car with Eagle One Nanowax. It looks great.

Looks great! I was thinking of getting a palm orbital sander with buffer attachment for waxing the car.
The door panels can be a drag by hand.
When my brother gave me his car, I spent countless minutes with QTips and rubbing alcohol,
getting the crud out of the crannies, like the gearshift indicators, and rear console
[between the front seats], etc. A neat car is a happy car, no doubt.

Thanks for the tips guys. Actually I did put some tire shine on after I took those pics.
The tip about the sills is something I definitly overlooked thanks.
The products that were used were:
Eagle One-Car Soap
Smooth Surface Kit-Meguairs
Scratch X 2.0-Meguairs (For deeper scratches)
Ultimate Compound-Meguairs. Its not a true rubbing compound but does a great job. Didn't even have to use a polish to bring back the shine. its a all in one product.
Nanowax-Eagle One. Its a polish/wax. It really does work well. Fills in some tiny little swirl marks that you may miss when buffing.
Overall the car looks great. I spent about 6 hours working on it. Almost all of that was spent on the exterior. Next time I will remember the door jams. How does a person clean those anyways?

AM Flakes still Drippin'
Looks great! Also don't forget to get under the side skirts, and bumpers completely. The rear bumps looks like it needs a little touch up. Looking fresh though!

Actually I don't live in STL anymore. I haven't updated my stuff on here yet. I live in KC, MO. Had to move for a job. I used to live in South County around Oakville.

Since you use mcguairs Ultimate Compound, you should finish it off with some NXT 2.0... Goes on smooth and comes off easy... best shine i've gotten with that combination

Eagle One Nanowax is not too bad, though i prefer Mother's. it came out really good though. Armer all has this new inside super shine stuff for the dash board, it works really well.

looks like a dealer's badge..
stupid fucktards put them on here all the time.. had to remove one off of my TL when i bought it.
they even put them on new vehicles....
i told the honda dealer that when i go to buy my next car from them, i'll refuse to leave with it unless its never had one of those damn things on it...

ya. i hate that they do that shit. you spend $20-$30k for them to advertise on your vehicle?!?! now they put those bitchass "super adhesive sticker" badges on your car. i'm still trying to find an easy/clean way to get one off my wifes new 06 pathfinder. anyone have an idea, feel free to suggest a way(see pic below)

ya. i guess i should attempt it again. i feel that im going to jack the paint up using a hair dryer, which seems to be the most recommended method for those

Always looks funny when people attempt to remove the Carmax stamps and you can still see the outline. You gotta get all of that crap off with GooGone & then polish up the area to make it fully invisible!
