Just brought TL02, have maintenance Questions

I just got an Acura TL w/70k miles. Everything runs smooth. I want to know what kind of maintenance work i should be getting ready to do.
Also, What kind of oil is good to use for a change?

Change oil with Mobil 1 5w30 synthetic (or any oil of your preference), oil filter (OEM, Mobil1 , and K&N are some brands), replace transmission fluid with HONDA fluid only, check and see if the cabin filter had been replaced before, check air filter element, check brake fluid, check power steering fluid, check the meat left on the brake pads, perform a coolant flush, check windshield washer fluid.. and some other stuff. You can find all this in the owner's maintenance manual. A lot of it is inspection so try not to bring it to a dealer. See if the previous owner performed a 60k mile tune-up (repair history if you have them). Also, if you know where the transmission fill plug is see if there is an oil jet kit installed. If there isn't, you should see a bolt with a blue mark on top of it (located on driver's side on top of tranny). Bring it to the dealer for them to install the oil jet kit. It is a recall to lubricate more of the 2nd gear set.

Oh and congrats on the 02 TL and welcome to the board!

First, do an oil analysis:

Oil Analysis with TBN by Bobistheoilguy Site Sponsorer

This will check for any mechanical problems with this engine.

Second, run TWO cycles of Auto-RX to clean out any sludge in this engine to prepare this engine for the usage of synthetic oils.

Third, use Mobil 1 5W-20 and a PureOne, Amsoil, STP, or Mobil 1 Filter every 5-6,000 miles. Adjust the interval accordingly per results from oil analysis.

I wouldn't suggest doing anything to the transmission since it seems to be a very "touchy" area with the lame transmissions prior to <05.
