since im a senior in HS, i gotta intern (for free) sumwhere. so of course, i wanted to work at a performance shop, but there rent ne around here, btu my Acura dealership has this seperate service/parts area, and i emailed and called htem to see if i cud intern there. i REALLY hope things will work out. they have exhausts, intakes, rims, altezzas, ALL those aftermakret parts. so ill get to help em install it and all that good stuff. and since i aint getting paid, hopefully theyll hook me up, or at least give me discounts on sum parts :p . so fu(kin excited to hear back! you thinnk itll work out?

 

Hey Jay: I've never heard of highschoolers doing an internship. You're required to? Do you go to a private school? Why do you have to intern?

nah, public school, but its a really good 1. yea, we r required to, but we miss school for those 6 weeks. i dont care, im really excited for interning. just in case it doesnt work out, can sum1 fill me in on ne performance shops in westchester, if u know of ne? thanx...

 

Jay- im a senior too, thinking of taking senior options and interning @ a dealer or perf shop as well. I know there are a lot of performance shops in westchester (cant recall any names) especially around yonkers. Try going to a car show or something and asking people where they got their cars done, chances are its a local place. GL

 

word, humvee, thats a good idea. where do u go to school? rockland? yea, i know of alotta places but they seem to b audiovisual stores. but i wanna work at a place with a big garage and do serious engine modifications. and yonkers is really too far to commute daily. the border of yonkers is like 20 minutes, maybe 15 from my house. but the heart of yonkers is mad far, especially with traffic. spoke again with sum1 at the service parts area at Curry. sounds good to go! he seemed really excited to have me work there, and he said it shud b all good, he just needs to confirm with his manager. damn, i cant ****ing wait. mmmm, there were so damn good lookin Tls in the garage. ne1 have thair Tl at Curry recently? black, tints, OEM kit and spoiler. damn, they have a good amount a perf parts there, intakes, headers, exhausts. basically everything Tim sells on this site. plus they have sum hot ass OZ and acura wheels. so when im working there in april feel free to come in and gimme a holla when ur there

 

hey thats good to hear man. I still gotta start looking around for a place. Im looking in either westchester or rockland although westchester is my preferred choice cuz its closer to my skool. If i do this i may have to go to my 1st per class then go from there.

Performance parts at Curry Acura?? No way, those morons told me a year ago, they never heard of any performance parts for a TL and they weren't planning on installing aftermarket parts on my car if I purchased them elsewhere. Then he proceeded to tell me, "oh you should stick to stock brake pads, the aftermarket pads aren't any better." Yea rite.
