Interior treatment?
Interior treatment?
What type of products should I use on my black leather seats and dashboard? I don't want a greasy feel or look. I just want them to look like the day I drove it off the lot.
Thanks again

I use Meguiar's Medallion for Leather. Awesome stuff, but hard to find. I used it on on my '93 for eight years and when I traded it in, I didn't have a single crack. They looked like new. You may have to order it directly from Meguiar's. Some people recommend Lexol.
On the dash I use Meguiar's Rubber & Vinyl conditioner. Does not leave that glossy look or greasy feel. Again, you may have to order directly from Meguiar's.

Lexol is pretty good...
bug230,
I use Lexol -- sure, you have to purchase the cleaner and conditioner separately, but I like the results. It gives the interior a 'stately' smell -- old fashioned English leather softener smell. However, I've read in previous threads that our leather surfaces are 'clear-coated', thus the conditioner doesn't penetrate (?) Can anyone verify this? Or is this a figment of my imagination?
Anyway, to the less informed, I like what Lexol does for my interior. (And I have to drive over to the 'States and pick it up at Pep Boys, too!)

I know what you all are talking about...a coworker rubbed his dirty a$$ knees on my passenger side door panel after a company softball game. I bought some Formula 2001 interior wipes to clean that spot and now it's all shiny. I don't like the look. I prefer the factory dull look.
I'll give that Meguiars a try.

Meguirs works wonders.
The only problem is, if you have pretty dark stains in the leather, the cleaner conditioner is not going to cut it for you. (very mild cleaning in the cleaner conditioner part). I use seperate cleaner for those problematic areas (leather cleaner from meguirs I think or lexor, I will have to check).
The Accord which I've been treating with it for last 2 years looks just wonderful.

Some folks swear by 303 protectorant (http://www.303products.com/protectant.htm). It is specifically for rubber, vinyl, clear coated leather, etc and provides UV protection without leaving a shiny appearance.

Use the stuff from the dealer
I have yet to clean the interior (car is too new), but when I do I am going to the dealer and buying the protectorant there. I also have a 2000 Accord and use the protectorant that they sold and it is great. Keeps the leather soft and no gloss.
