I don't know if my 02 TL-S just sucks or tranny #2 is nearing the end of its life.

The other day an Integra ran away from me. I was able to hang on up to 100mph but could not gain any. Then he walked away. I lost interest and got concerned about cops and slowed down.

That really sucks! You should get it checked out! Unless he was running NOS or what not.. but I have never seen a suped up integra before... like really suped up.

boys if I can take GP's, you can take integra's. Some guy on my street drives a beat up Integra, and he converted his to a Type R engine, and I still spank this guy from a dead stop.

He has no chance against my TL-S. Even when we raced once, and my cell phone rang. I had time to be distracted, pick up my phone, realize the guy had taken off, floored the gas, and passed him 1/4 mile up the road. He has no balls, and neither does his car.

When will u guys learn? An integra can be made to be fast and really fast with $$. Doesnt take much with an H22 swap either. Turbo or nos and those cars fly. My old car ran 13.8 at 101 which a TL-S cannot touch without spray. I ran that all motor too.

I agree with benzo. It doesn't take much to mod an integra to run below 14s.

Since it looked like a beater, it was probably modded too.

BTW, 4th gear SUX!

Yeah......I know people who got engine swaps and their integs are tuned so good.... run 11s on the track

man those integras and civics can be a sleeper too. my friend has a 94 integra that looks stock but he has a B20 under the hood.

There were an @$$load of Integras and Civics, some all motor, some spraying, at the track in G'ville running 13's and 14's. There was a Civic running 12's with a turbo on street tires. You probably got suckered by a car with some mods, so sleep easy little camper. It happens...

Yeah I know it shifts into 3rd at 80mph. That's what helped me stay with this guy until 100mph.

guys i had a 92 integra rs (meaning no options no v-tech ) with just a cai,msd,headers,exaust,and a sportclutch and i spanked countless maximas and a few tl-p's dont sleep they are fast but what can u say they are acura, they are our freaind go beat on maximas and altimas and if ya got a s2000 spank all g35's and 350z's i hate nissan!

i own both a tl type s and an old 1993 integra gsr (see my gallary).

i must say that i have like $2000 of Engine mods in the tl S and im absolutely sure i can spank my own tl with my gsr even if i gave the tl a car headstart (my gezer is 100% normally aspirated with a slightly built engine). that little thing might be have a tiny 4 banger, but it's light as hell and has crazy gear ratios especially in upper gears. to illustrate this, at freeway speeds i do not need to downshift to 4th gear from 5th to own the tl who will probably slam it into d3. (80mph in 5th gear is like 4500 rpm of the 9.2k redline). The car should be a 6 speed, but it's not. i've topped out speed on gsr before and it can trample the tl past 100 with zero effort (the tl has REALLY crappy upper gears past 3 in my opinion). there is no way that tl will beat it unless it gets boosted by comptech blower, and it still might lose lol...i dont think these 2 cars should be compared tho becuz theyre 2 different classes of car, but o well. integras can be fast or slow, but dont underestimate them.

don't get me wrong tho, the tl is respectively quick. i can put up a tough race against my neighbors manual 02' M3.

that's about 0-70 in less than 6 seconds. it wouldve been a lot quicker if he had better tires and shifted quicker.

as you can see in this movie a non vtec without boost or spray can be quicker than a type r if properly set up. too many ricers and F&F have killed the integra's image. btw his real setup is just a b20 (2.0L from a honda CRV) w/ only bolt ons with a (1.6L) civic si tranny.

like someone said earlier. it shouldnt be acuras against acuras.

now this is by no way the fastest out there, but a good example of variety of stuff that's out there. u never know what is under the hood of an older acura.

yea...it got the fast accel from 0-70

but he was talking 100+ mph...the CRV engine can't keep it up obviously...

that thing is done wit crower 404 or 5's. that's more insane profile than ITR in vtec at 100% of the time. it could rev to 10k safely and still have top end power if he wasnt running a stock ecu. his tuning was good enough so that his car actually idles normally.
