Intake Resonator Question

I just removed my resonator. All of the threads I've read say that they've removed the resonator & installed a CAI afterwards. I don't plan on getting a CAI for a while, is it okay to just have the "stock" intake in w/ the resonator removed?

I left mine that way for a while. Zero problems so far. I think you should be fine. Obviously you would want to keep an eye on the air filter.

I would at least get a k&n air filter so you can clean it and reuse it

I figured, but I wanted to make sure.

thats what the diy calls for--remove resonator box and make sure you grab the Y connector at bottem of air filter box
You can even enlarge those 2 holes for more airflow

getting air into the large storage area of the inner fenderwell is great for performance!
not using a cai = staying with stock box and KN filter = prevents water soaking the cai filter when mounted low in the nose
