Installed the OBX headers today...

The installation went OK, although we ran into some problems.

Either way, I've got some questions.

Is it normal for the headers to be smoking? I saw a significant amount of smoke coming off the headers. The front one smoked for about 15-20 seconds upon the first start (cold) then went away. The rear one didn't smoke at first, but after the front one stopped, it started smoking for like 2 minutes straight.

Also, I'm getting vibrations when coming to a stop. It's cyclical, vibrating for about 1-2 seconds, going away for 1-2 seconds, vibrating again for about 1-2 seconds, so on and so forth. Is this normal? I know the ECU needs some time to adjust, but I just want to make sure that this is normal.

Also, I'm getting clicking noises under throttle. I think it's coming underneath the car. My first guess was an exhaust leak, but every bolt was tightened securely.

Other than that, the car is focking LOUD. I think I scared some people. I love it.

Ya I read that somewhere the OBX have issues with resonance. You need to go out and purchase different nuts and bolts which will allow you to secure the headers more, which will decrease the vibrations. The smoking like Kris said is just oil burning off. It will burn off within a day or so.

did you get new gaskets to go with your headers, if not, you should have. Also the sound you are describing sounds like an exhaust leak. Get it checked out, i had one and lost a substantial amount of torque
