It's hard to tell; I have 20% tint on the rear window so not too noticeable from the outside. From the inside, I think it looks good. I wanted more protection for the rear seats and this shade will do just that. The nice thing is that the shade is retractable (but not automatic), if I want it down.
I think ValueTL can hook people up if they want this option. I had it brought over from Japan.

I'd say it was easier to install the tail lights, but not by much: 4/10 on a diffuculty scale.

I like the rear shade, even after tint, I'd be interested being in Texas.

What's the cost,
How long did it take?
How hard was it?

I need the sunshade...tinting is not enough! Especially here in Atlanta in hot summer sun in a parking lot w/no shade available! Where can I get one? I was directed here by someone in the TL-S forum when I asked if anyone knew where I could get the Rear SunShade. I had one in my '99 Accord Coupe and loved it!

I don't mean to be rude but just read the prior posts and both the last questions will be answered.
If more details are needed just post again.
ValueTL (user ID) can get the part for you. The install is very simple and takes less than an hour.

It's $125 plus shipping. You can get it at value-caraudio.com. Look under Inspire Sunshade.

old post but ...

I am going back to an old post to check out how feasible it is to install this rear sunshade. I realize that this is now close to Labor Day and the autumn ... but I still think the sunshade looks cool.

For those who have installed it, how easy is it to do at home? Are the instructions explicit enough? (ie is it foolproof?) Do I have to do any extra drilling to my interior for it to fit or are their pre-fab holes in the back that I haven't found on my own?

One poster stated it took them 30 minutes. Sure, perhaps you are handier than most. Just wanted a little more feedback on a very old topic. Thanks in advance.

I am not very handy and it was pretty easy for me. 30-45 minutes max! Some people take out the rear seat to install it but I just used a box knife and screwdriver. The box knife was used to slit an inch long cut into the rear deck. This slit was used to insert the attachments which come with the sunscreen to hold it down. An earlier post said it was $125.00 but I think it cost me more than that.

very nice...inspire shade and sills!

for those that want something similar without the wait and expense, is this not similar to the rear sunshade for the 98+ accords?

i couldn't find a good pic, but here are the instructions which show a better diagram of the shade...

The cost of the shade is $125.00 from Value Car Parts. Plus shipping cost. It took me a few weeks to get the shade from Japan. It took me only 30 minutes to install.
