Important question on HIDS

I know right now that we have d2r bulbs on our cars, but i was wondering if i switch to a d2s bulb will it fit/work fine. Do all hid systems that are factory come the same size? I can get a pair of the philips, a store has them in stock where i live. I was wondering if i would loose light with the switch or gain light.

how much they slangin em' for at tha shop??? from what ive read, it shouldn't be a problem to install these things and they should last pretty long since they are made by philips...this mod would definately set your car apart from a lot of cars out there w/HID...Shyne

i have become a recent expert on this. you have to carve a tiny half circle notch in the d2s base to fit, but, ive seen the difference. a regular 4100k d2r hid bulb replaced with a regular d2s is extremely negligible. the only diff seemed to be glare. sorry to say, but if you want better hid performance, you have to go with a d2r or a d2s 6000k hid bulb.
