Did you crack the boot? And is the car under warrenty still? Usually, CV boots don't crack till long after the warrenty, unless you pulled on it when you tried to take the half shaft off. (Always pry from the splined end) either give it to the dealer, or buy a kit that Honda has to rebuild the half shaft (grease, boot, clamps, etc) A failed CV joint doesn't make grinding noises either--esp "between gears"...more of a clicking or whirring noise. Good luck!

yes the car is still under warranty. i didnt crack the boot, there was just a bunch of grease leaked out before we even pulled. it leaked everywhere. i've decided to put the rear stock springs back on and take it to the dealer.
