I'm so ready to give up...
Whats going on fellas, I have a 02' Tl S, I've had it for over a year its paid off, I've put 21,000(miles) on it already. I have Comp headers, AEm intake, woodtrim, H&R springs, Body kit, wing, 19" BR5's, proxies, 2 transmissions, seatbelt noise, and now a horrific sound(like a rattiling, or something in the actual body is loose) anytime i start moving. It seems like its coming from the dash, then the center console then the seat, to be honest im getting pissed, I mean its becoming a f-ing hassle. Im already thinking about selling, now this is when you guys come in...In my mind there are a few cars in the market that look very intresting, 1st and foremost the GS300, cant really afford the 400 yet, i want the 2001 b/c it has a sportshift , and 2. the G35, that car looks pretty nice, any ideas, what should I do, should i stick w/ this car????
look, I like acura simply b/c i already know every1 there, and w/ warranty there is no hassle, and how do i know im not going to have the same problem w/ something else???I was actually going to wait till the next model comes out, but im getting frusturated, let me know????

Sorry to see you go, but I don't blame you with all the troubles you've had to deal with.
If I had to get another car within my price range (sorry S500!) it would definitely be the LEXUS GS!!!!! All the way!

It often ends up like this. I had similar experience with Mitsu. Bought a 98 GST - loved it until it was totaled....ZERO problems
then bought a 97 GSX....HATED IT. Everything that could go wrong, DID!
It's very possible the car you have will just always be "terrible" to you. Were as someone else's here may never have 1 minutes worth of problems.
If it's bugging you so much that you hate it, get out of it.
I really like the GS300, if I was going to buy a G35 I'd wait for the coupe. The sedan is ugly.
How about an S4?? or 330?

Everything is for sale, that can easily entice me to buy a new car soon...The body kit i'll sell w/ wing for $700, its black. The headers I'll sell w/ the intake, its less than a year old, but ill sell $700, but remember, to take out of the car is up to you. The rims are brand new, there 19" +48offset, toyo proxies(235/35/19), there polished w/ a chrome lip. I will not go under $3000.
Does any1 know anything about Audi's???

Devious, I hear you man. I feel the same way. I recently started hearing rattle coming from the seats, and it's annoying the $hit out of me. $30+k car should have more quality than this. I've already made up my mind... my next car won't be an Acura.

How much for the Tls . I wanna dump my 99 here soon. I have a dealer here that wil fix just about anything. If I buy it my dealer will make it right and driveable for a while. What color is it ?

Any idea what that noise is???
Check the attach points on the body kit side skirts ( the one's with the push in fasteners). I installed my body kit myself and about 2-3 months later a loud rattling started. Found the push in fasteners had worked loose. I just pulled back on the metal clips and injected some RTV to insulate the metal clips and body. So far the rattle hasn't reappeared. Good Luck.

1st and foremost, the noise has been fixed, it was something along the right wheel, as if something was loose. Hard to explain, but the noise is gone. And yes I've had noise w/ my body kit, but it was fixed, loose bolt. Anyways, in a sense im relieved, but my car will always be for sale especially for the right price. The car stripped of everything, I would sell for $24,000, w/ everything I expalined 25,500. Excluding rims..they cost some $$. Now my car drives smooth again, and to be honest, having my friend work there(mechanic) is what really makes this whole thing easier.
Does any1 have an idea how much a 330 will cost w/ all the trimmings??

IMO, get the Audi S4. These things are crazy fast. Drove my friends and the little toy car MOVES!!!!!!! :p

DONT GO AUDI!!!!a friend of mine just gave up on it after a yr and sold it...so many problems from engine to noise coming from all over the car...

VW/Audi have some horror stories, but I think that it's not as bad as some ppl make it out to be. I had a VW Passat and the thing ran great! When I got my TLS the VW was 9yrs old with 125k miles on it and ran great. Never had any serious problems with the car the entire 4yrs I owned it.(bought it used)
My brother has a Jetta and recently the thing has been nothing but problems. Also, my cousin has an A4 and she's had it for almost 3yrs now with no problems what so ever. I guess it just depends. But if ur looking to buy new than get the S4, you'll be covered under warranty either way so nothing to worry about.
