I'm not having much luck with the TL!

I'm really pissed now. You all saw what happened with the back end of my car, it got keyed.... well today, I was on my way to McDonalds for some breakfast, and when I was turning in, this stupid lady in a minivan was halfway in my lane, so I swerved, and I didn't know there was a curb on the right side, so I slammed right into the curb. The bottom right part of my bumper is all scratched, my rims are hell on the right side, and I think I knocked a wheel out of alignment, because it wont drive right, it the right tire squeals when I drive it (I think its the right one), and my steering wheel is all cockeyed now.... I'm really, really pissed. I dont know what its going to cost, anyone know? Does it sound like I messed up the alignment?

Thanx,
Ryan

I'll post some pictures when I get a chance... I dont want to go look at it now.

Dude, that is a bad run! Your insurance should cover both. Definately out of alignment, let's just hope nothing got bent. Might as well just take it in to a good body shop and get it fixed. If you have thought of aftermarket wheels/tires, now is a good time. I have had these runs before. You'll get throught it!

OK... took it to firestone since I get free alignment there. Got it aligned and balanced, and it drives ok... has a slight pull to the right. I need a new right front strut and right rear shock.... I guess its a good time to get aftermarket crap right? So, here's everyone's task... What kind of shocks and struts can I get that a good and cheap? Now I have to get the back painted from the key mark, and the front right part of my bumper cause the curb scratched the crap out of it. I'll post pics later on.

if ur gonna get shocks, u mights as well get springs to lower ur car. for shocks, the best are koni and tockico (spelling?). for springs, the most common are comptech, h&r and eibach. as for struts i have no clue.

Well, I get a check in the mail for about 200 and some change, and I'm selling my old HID conversion kit on ebay, another 200, plus money for christmas... hmm, what should I get. I'm thinking of just keeping my wheels right now, letting insurance pay for the paint, and saving up for some good mods. Any thoughts? Can any place repair my rims now?

Ryan,

I still have my stock struts with me, also I am from Atlanta I can let you use it until you figure what you want for your upgrade.
Let me know.

Sorry about your car, but having to swerve to avoid another vehicle and not seeing curbs sounds like a speed problem to me. Just my 2CW, I don't like to see fellow TL'ers get into trouble! Hope it comes out alright.
