I'm missing something

So I was in an accident last friday, and now i have no car to drive. I feel like something's missing, because i look in my garage and it's empty, and i have to get rides from my mom to school....Since the idiot who hit me won't admit to fault, my insurance is paying for the repairs and my rates are going to be raised. We can't get a rental, because we have to pay for some of it. now....i feel like a little kid, because mommy has to pick me up and drop me off .

Did the police find that you were at fault? If they found the other driver is at fault, there should not be any trouble getting his insurance to pay for it.

well....the other driver won't admit to fault, so since both our stories can go both ways, they can't figure out who's at fault. My insurance rate might be raised up, but i don't it'll be that much, but they'll be fighting the other insurance company too.

In such a scenario as you described, if you know that you weren't at fault and you can accurately describe the events leading up to the accident, at least try to get the other driver to be at least 51% at fault. That way, your rates shouldn't go up unless your insurance company is one of those who'll jack your rates just because you filed a claim with them regardless of who was at fault.

I was able to reverse a claim judgment that went against me (both insurance companies had decided that it was my fault) to instead having the other party be found primarily at fault, all because I presented facts which proved that I couldn't be at fault.

That's sux, bro!!!

I am sure you'll fall in love again when you get your car back. You'll notice how valuable that is when you don't have it.

Tell me about it. I'm approaching my 3rd month in 2 days. Yet I still have to pay for the monthlys.
