i'm getting the VIPER
that's right, the viper 791 car alarm. haha. i work at best buy so i was able to get it for $150. i think best buy sells it for $400 or something. but anyways, i can get the alarm installed at best buy for $100. while other places have quoted me over $200. do you think i could trust the installers at best buy (MECP certified) to do a good job or should i toss in the extra hundred and get someone at a car shop to install it?

If Best Buy quoted like $100, and other places are over $200. I think it is just because you didn't get the alarm from them so they want to make alittle extra money. They may be certified but he still may not do a good job. You work there, talk to them, see what they say about each other's work.

@ slide or die @
i was gonna congratulate you...i was dissapointed your just getting the alarm.
They do good jobs on sound sys installs, a car alarm its basically the same exept instead of speakers you get sensors..just make sure their in the right places and well hardwired and thats all there is to it.

yea i was thinking of asking the guys who do the install but i didn't want to come off like i'm dissin on their work. the normal price for the install is also around $200 but since i work there, i can get it done for $100. i really don't know anything at all about how to install the alarm so i'm not sure. i think i might just ask some of my friends around here to see where they got theirs done at. that would be a lot safer.
