i'm getting AWESOME mileage
It's weird hearing about the poor mileage.
I checked my exact mileage. To do this, i fill up and reset the trip meter. Then I drive until the gauge is about 1/2 to 1/4. Then i go to the same pump and fill up again.
On my last measure, I got about 250miles on 8.5 gallons which works out to about 29mpg. This is about 50% highway, 50% city.
That's only 4 mpg less than my Civic !

My first fill-up I got a ridiculous 33mpg, next one was 31mpg - then I started driving post-breaking and the mileage dropped, but I still averaged 26.1mpg over my first 3,200 miles - better than my 4-cylinder Saab 9-3!

I am getting 34 on the highway with the A/C on 78 and speed at a constant 75 to 80MPH. Here is how I calculate my mileage: Fill up at a gas station before the trip. Drive to destination. Refuel and note how many gallons have been used. Divide total mileage travelled by gallons used. I am consistently gettin 32-34MPG. Total of 2800 miles, about 2500 highway miles. This is quite a pleasant surprise.
