I'm this close to buying a TL-S, but...
Okay, I took yet another test drive (2003 TL Type S) and that is it. I love the car. Three test drives to date. I'm still trying to get the dealer under 30k.
I’ve gotten over the stereo. Actually I cranked it this time and it’s really not that bad.
The only other gripe I have is that the headroom is tight, but there is just enough room for me (I’m 6’1”) and my knees touch the center console and drivers’ side as well. Just not as roomy as I thought. But I can live with this and the black plastiwood. The sweet sound of that engine makes up for it.
So, I’m going to test drive a 2003 Accord EXL V6 today or tomorrow. The only other car on my list is the Infiniti G35, but I’ve looked at stickers and getting this car for $28k is a total joke. You can’t touch the car for under $34, so that might rule it out. We’ll see.
The Accord might surprise me, but I’m not sure I want yet another Accord, Yawn. I almost hope I don’t like it.
Later.

Id stay away from the G35 simply cos the infiniti dealer here was a pompus A$$hole said peeps pay full sticker or you are wasting their time. F that...hellllo sweet acura!
Lastly..I got my TL-S for 29100 nice score huh?
I guess the new accord is nice but fromt he pictures it kinda looks like a camry

Lycos,
Make SURE you can find a comfortable driving position before you buy a TL.
I'm sure people in this forum are tired of my whining, but after a month and a half of driving my new TL-S, I still am unable to get comfortable. (I am 6'0", 190 lbs.) My right leg hits the center console as well. I have the seat all the way down.
Today I drove from S. Everett to Seatac in morning I-5 rush hour traffic - it took me a hour and a half. By the time I got there my back hurt, and I was constantly fidgeting in the seat.
During my test drives I noticed that comfort might be an issue, but I too thought I could "live with it". Now I'm beginning to regret my purchase.
The only other vehicle that I've ever found uncomfortable was a '99 Accord, which has a lot in common with the TL.
By the way, the comfort issue was also mentioned in TL reviews by Edmund's and Motor Trend.
Good luck, whatever you decide.
