Last week I got tranny number two, but also an interesting thing happened. I blew the #6 ECU fuse twice (driver's side panel), once for my fogs powered off that panel elsewhere, then again for my footwell lighting powered off the passenger side panel. I got the flashing D5 routine along with a check engine light and traction control light on. Only had 2nd and 4th gears and limped back to the dealer who figured it out pretty quick. To his credit he saw the fogs when the tranny was being done and pulled that wiring and replaced the fuse, but didn't see the footwell stock looking lighting I had put in. Somehow the new ECU didn't like that and #6 blew again.
I thought I better let you guys know, and I carry a 15amp spare now if it happens again. I realize this could be a gremlin in my car now fixed, or it could be the new ECU is sensitive, or that I'm not too good at wiring, whatever!
