iceman cai

has anyone ever heard of the iceman cold air intake? will it fit an '03 tl-s? my cousin has a friend that said he could hook me up with it for like $240 installed. this sounds like bs to me considering aem is one of the best and its a lot less than that. any info is appreciated.

that's no hook up at all. Get the AEM CAI. Plus, I think you should install it yourself. It's not too hard plus you'll feel a lot better about yourself that you did it on your own.

thats what i was thinking. im gonna see what price he gives me for an aem and an injen. my bro has a friend that can hook me up with the aem for $150 and $175 with bypass valve. so if he can beat that price then i'll go with him i guess.

Hmm

I had an ICE-MAN cold air intake on my old Mitsubishi Eclipse... It was made out of ridged hard formed plastic... It held up fine, I liked it on the car because i thought metal would conduct heat and that would just cancel out the whole idea of a COLD AIR intake...LOL... But I never had a problem with it... I do believe in my mind, that is what helped me sell the car to the kid... But I don't think KNIGHT ENGINEERING makes an application for the CL or TL.... Thats who makes the cold air intake KNIGHT ENGINEERING.

I got the AEM from a shop for $200. They said AEM was increasing prices edit 10% so all future CAI would be $220.

If you can get it cheaper....DO IT without hesitation.

Actaully you should consider the Comptech Icebox. The CAIs are nice and all, but cleaning the filter is a real biotch. Also Smitty is right, plastic is able to disappate heat much better than the aluminum.
