but it was only a pimped out 300 and a bmw was on its tail, when i merged onto the freeway yesterday. so i got on the bmw's tail wanting to see what it is...but my main interest was the gs....to my utter disappointment. the bmw was debadged....ugh..no way to know what it was. but i managed to get ahead of him and ck out the gs, which was black and had chrome rims, so it looked good.

i guess he knew he couldnt hang w/us, so the lexus moved aside and the bmw kinda gunned it while i followed...it was fun cruising at 95mph at 6pm on ih35

i guess he didnt have the superior 3 series bmw, cause i floored it at 90mph and i managed to get away from him, he slowly got back to me as i slowed for traffic... all the while his asian gf or sister or whatever was just looking at me(although i think she was looking at my car )

i waved and exited...ahhhh, i love this car..but that debadging is really tricky, u never know what ur running against...im pondering whether i should debadge my tls...

What's faster BTW, a GS300 or TLP? Both have the same horses under the hood. What makes the difference between these two rides in a race???

 

GS300 is rearwheel drive
TL-P is frontwheel drive

 

gs 300 cant hang but gs 400 0r 430 can kick our tls EASY. The rear wheel drive will win so this case the gs 3 or take the tlp.

Good thing it's debadged, not re-badged....hehe.. I have seen an Ivory Pearl Audi A6 4.2 running around with 2.8 badge on its A$$.... sure would caught alot of ppl by surprise.....

My 400 is debadged, my friends think I am nuts but I love the effect on people when they get a lil 'surprise'!.

I have seen some 300s badged as 400s :yack: unfortunately.
I have never met a GS 300 driver that is into racing to much, they rather the comfort and looks of it.

 

The GS is a hot ride 300 or 4XX. I love my TLS but a GS400 would have been hot too.

Funny thing about badging, I once saw a CLK430 with an AMG badge. The 430 is still nasty but he should have either taken the CLK430 badge completely off or replaced the K430 with a 55!

 

I know what you mean, I saw an X5 with M badge and exhaust and chrome stock 19's. The guy (from Qatar) came out and actually had the nerves to tell me his was an M from Germany with 350HP...I'm like WTF, from Germany? It's made in SC and last time I checked BMW will not grant the X5 the M status due to no manual tranny and the 4.6 is as close as they come. I shoulda just followed him and whooped up on him in my 540...I guess he didn't know I own a X5 as well. But it looked tight, I'll give him that.

 

yes, i know the gs is a nice luxo ride...i test drove a '01 gs4 before i decided to buy my 02 tls...brand spankin' new

so i also know just how fast it is...but as for the gs3, i see tooo many of them everywhere i go, i guess ppl want to be seen in that model, just not pay the extra for the good stuff, jajajaja!

as for me, it's either a used gs4 or used s2k next

 

My cousin has a CLK 430 that came with an AMG badge from the dealer. It had a Designo interior, amg tuned exhaust, suspension, body kit, and thin spoke monoblock 5 spoke amg wheels. There is an AMG package for the CLK 430 and 320 that doesnt mean its a 55. Just letting you guys know.
