i need a final word on springs
i need a final word on springs....i cant decide on what springs to get because throught searching the forum i find different amounts of drop for each of the 3 popular springs (comptehc, h&r, Eibach). i know everyones drop cant be the same...but i want to know what the average is..so if everyone can tell me aproximatly how much there drop it that would be great (measuere in the whell well pref)...i originally wanted comptechs cause the front of my car there is a 3inch gap and the back is like 2-1.5 from my system..wheich is a pretty big difference...its problby the battery i have back there...i eventually plan on 19s tho.. and i know they make your car seem higher...i just dont think comptechs would lower enough for the front...and id get a gap back with the 19s....so then i was gonna get h&r's....and i was on the verge of buying them...but then the back would still be much lower then the front..not that it bothers me much...i just dont like the sagging look...eibachs a heard sag in the back...so they would help me at all...what are you suggestions?...pics would be helpfull from those who have either 19s with one of the springs..or systems and the springs..or all three...i really want to purchase some sprigns soon...so any help is appreciated

Basically Comptech and H&R have the same drop in the front. The rear is the only difference where comptech is a little higher.
Here is my H&R drop:

I say that looks about even (btw, in my pic, the front settled down a bit and the rear is the same so it looks even all around, or close to it.) If that doesn't look even to you then the only way you'll get it perfect is if you get shocks where you can adjust height.

have you considered Tein S-Tech springs? they have a nice ride too...but they do drop pretty low tho...2.1" drop in the front and 1.7' in the rear...looks hella sweet on my buddys TL-S w/19' RH C2 Evo's...sorry i dont have a pic of them tho...

I would go with the comptechs. I have them and had no issues with them. 
Since you live in NJ, meet up with someone and have a look. There are plenty of dropped TLs in your area, including me.

thanx forn the suggestions...coil overs are to much for me...the tieins...how dothey ride?..and is the drop exactly what they say...i cant have the back go to low...same with the eibachs...i heard the back gets really low...is that true?...thwat was another spring i wanted because it advertises a stagered drop

well i found a few pix of my buddys TL-S...but he is using NEX SR Coilovers in the front and TEIN S-Tech springs in the rear...

thanx for the advice..but my ass is pretty low right now...i was just informed that the battery i have bakc there weighed about 40 pounds..in addition to the system...i just cant decide..i want h&r...but im afraid its gonna look to low
btw...bigman...i dont mean to try to gain off your lose...but in one of your post you said you were gonna part out your car caue of tranny trouble...i was just wondeirng when you were gonna start selling cause im really intrested in your exhaust...i live close by too so i could pic it up...thanx

yeah i did have the NEX SS coilovers...i had them on for like a few months...too low for the bay...well at least i dropped it to low...hehee...but back on my H&R sports...the ride is better now...i'll slap the coilovers back on someday in the future....
