I"m new with this stuff

I'm about to supe up my tl, was just wondering what the differences between the exhausts are (ex:comptech, hks, 5zigen), and also whether or not the intake will pass the smog test a few years down the line. Also some guys have been talking about aem cai and injen etc. What is that?
Thanks

haha, aem and injen are the companies that provide aftermarket intake for tls

no idea about smog test though, but i think if you maintain your car well it should have no problem?

AEM and Comptech

Sleepy,

I have both the AEM Intake and the Comptech Exhaust. I love them both. The quality of the Comptech Exchaust is incredible. The mufflers look like they are chrome they are polished so much. the sound is also awsome. Check out the WAV files I uploaded in the CAI Sounds Thread. That will give you an idea of that the AEM and the Comptech sounds like on the TLS.

As for the smog issue, I wouldn't think the AEM would cause a problem since it maintains all of the factory hook ups to the intake.

you can try to contact moonster_99, his friend helps people to install stuff. I don't know about prices though, but you can always email him. just tell him i refer you

other than that i don't know about any places around here. intake is actually not hard to install by yourself, it's just a matter of whether you dare to do it
