Dude... you're gunna love what the I/H/E does for this car... it'll be like you have a whole new car, I guarantee it... i'm not easily impressed by mods.. but this whole setup did...

I'm eventually gunna get the CT exhaust and CT springs.. can't wait... lemme know how it goes once it's all installed.

I'm thinking of doing the suspension work first...basically because its the most reasonable/noticeable mod to do for the money...just need to know if I'm gonna need a camber kit with CT springs.

Agreed -- no camber kit needed for sure. The drop isn't low enough .. 1.5" in front, similar in the back ...

I'm thinking of getting the CT springs... the wheel gap is really pissing me off for some reason now.. and I have begun to corner harder now that I have the headers... so I need 'em.

That sounds about right for a 97 Maxima. lol. Someone wants to buy my old 96 Accord (flawless condition, all oil change and service documents, never wrecked) with 175,000 miles for $5k but I want to keep it.

I agree... I love my car too. I was oh so close to selling my car and getting a Z... but in the end I decided to keep the TL-S. Much more pratical car and nothing can touch it as far as value/performance/luxury for the price. I figured I'll just save for the S/C and I'll be even happier

You've gotta have the MOST miles on your Type S of anyone on this board .. that's impressive .. any major malfunctions since it was brand new?

That's the most bland post I've ever written -- but it's your opinion so I respect it --

It fixed me!

I truly .. and absolutely truly hated the TL-S after my tranny died.. I thought it was the biggest piece of ... well, you know what I mean.

Now that I have a new tranny, the current mods in my sig, and a lot of open highway .. i just love this ride...

Can't wait to get my springs installed.. I think the cornering potential can be drastically improved... although I think I would need new tires to clinch to best overall effect

Tomorrow is the day!

Hey guys, I'm really glad to read these positive posts about the TL. I've been debating about getting a new Type S for a month or so but the tranny issue, as you can imagine, made me think twice. However, I got off the fence and plunked down the bucks and am picking up my new ride tomorrow!

Got a great deal. The color...Aegean Blue. Love that color.

Will send pics soon.

Dr. Groove --

Congrats on your new car -- it's truly an awesome vehicle as you shall see. Listen man, I've had my tranny replaced, and I love it even more. Don't read into these stupid "I hate my TL-S" threads.. they get waaaay too carried away and are typically written by guys that have RARELY posted much of anything, other than to inform us all about how much they hate their car. Mostly, they hate the squeaks and rattles, etc, and the tranny issue is rarely talked about anymore.

You'll love it .. year or so down the line, look into performance upgrades like I did and you'll re-fall in love w/ the car. Please do send pics, I wanted the Aegean blue, but it wasn't in stock at the time, so I got my second favorite color -- Diamond white pearl. Break her in easy .. no rpms above 4000 in the first 500 to 1000 miles. After that, make sure you stomp on it occassionaly to seat the engine so that it gets used to being driven fast.

Best of luck

Pete
