Then you're better off with the 1". I have the 1.75" and when my car gets loaded, the rear rubs, and I'm on 17" rims.

I'd go with the H&R sports. The H&R OE springs don't really have a noticeable drop. Your TL will look killer with the sports and the factory body kit.

I'd go with the OE springs. I've had them on for about 7 months now without any problems. Since they were designed for the Accord, you definitely get more than a 1" drop and I can just barely clear driveways, concrete barriers at parking spots, etc. And yes, I have the bodykit and 17" wheels. However, if you want the somewhat slammed look, go for the Sports. Just be prepared to deal with some scrapes and possibly some rubbing if you get rims.

Why can't people get this, it does not matter if you have 16" 17" 18" 19" rims for the wheels to rub neither the height of the springs. It's all about the width of the rim. Now it is true that the bigger the wheel the wider it is. When you suspension goes up and down because road conditions the springs get smaller or bigger meaning your car is lower or higher at a given time. Thus replacing springs it would be lower all the time. An aligment can sometimes get rid of the rub, if the rub its cause by toe.(toe is when the wheel is left or right and not center) which it might cause it to rub. For example if you have factory rims and they do not rub, not matter how many people you put in your car or if you have 4" springs it would not rub. StylinTLS get an aligment it might fix your problem.

As for your question I would get the sport.

Sounds like he doesn't know what he's talking about. He can adjust the front but not the rears (well not without a camber kit). But the rears will not be out of OEM specs with those springs (or Comptech springs for that matter).

for the alighment....If you don't want your car to wear out the rear tires then you should get the alighment kit in the autocarparts.com ..that is the only way if you wants to do the alighment and I think only Eybach and Ingallos make those kit for TL ..I got ur Private message and chk out my new muffler http://members.aol.com/globeclk/ianstail.jpg

Yes, get an alignment after you get the springs installed. Some people believe you should drive about 1000 miles after getting the springs installed before getting the alignment done. This is supposedly to allow the springs to "settle"... whether its a myth or not, I don't know, but I doubt it will make a difference. As it was, my schedule didn't allow an alignment for 1500 miles after my springs were installed.

D011AR, these springs city001 is getting do not require a camber kit for the rear. It doesn't change the rear alignment enough to need one. It does change the front alignment waaay out of spec and if you go for too long (> 1500 miles) your tires will begin to wear unevenly. But the front wheels are fully adjustable and the alignment shop will be able to fix the front without an alignment kit.

...what are you talking about he said he's getting the H&R sports...those lower 1.75/1.75 he most certainly will need a camber kit...and to the subject i would concider a different shop unless you just mistook his saying camber is not adjustable for an alignment not being possible...now the comps are only about 1.0 rear maybe 1.25 so it's close there

First it lowers the car 1.75 / 1.5, second you do NOT need a camber kit. Third you cannot ajust the camber on the TL in the rear with an aligment. Fourth I little negative camber it's good for cornering, camber will not waste your tires as much as toe will. I will say, wait a couple of days then do the aligment. Good luck, enjoy your ride.

first 1.75/1.5 on a tl i wont arguee a .25 inch, how full your tank/system /passangers...there will easily be a .50 variance
second there is already factory camber built in and a 1.5 inch drops effect on camber though may not be as bad as toe or caster will wear the inside of the tire faster than the rest and, WILL shorten the life of the tires
third thats what i said unless he mistook the installers statement of no alignment for no rear camber adjustment.
fourth alittle more than factory camber is not only good for cornering but good for the tire shop of your choice
