I'm still laughing at this. He pulled up next to me and I pointed forward. I just picked up the car today with the new tranny so figured I need to see how this new ECU is and whether they put it all together correctly.

Light goes green and that bastard is just GONE!.....man... :wow:

I caught up with him at the next light and rolled down the window saying "I knew you'd kill me, I just wanted to see by how much!"

He had about 2 car lengths on me (at least).......I'm bone stock under the hood....the new tires help my grip though off the start.

What a laugh...next time, I'll stick to racing in my class

LOL... I love the X5s. I smoked a Trans Am/Firebird... whatever that body style is last night, and I'm all stock except for CAI. I thought it was kinda funny.... we were getting on the freeway, he passed me at the last second kinda cutting me off, so I stayed on his ass on the onramp and flew past him - he was pretty pissed about that! Good try at least! I bet we could absolutley beat the piss out of the 3.0 X5 though.

Had to have been a V6 Firebird. Trans Ams are V8's (325+hp @ the wheels). The V6's sure give a good run though. Few simple mods and they're pushin some good power.

lol theres some badass cars over on your side of the city!! The worst is when I got destroyed by a porsche 911 turbo. The guy easily had 8-10 car lenghts on me by 70 mph. I knew I was gonna loose I was just suprised that he wasted the gas on me!

There are some really nice car's around here.....I saw some (extremely fortunate I might add) fella driving around my neighborhood in a stunning lamborghini murcielago :wow: :wow: :wow: !!

If I were to pull up next to him, I'd put my car in park and just watch him rocket off!

yeah in Scottsdale you can't swing a dead cat and not hit an X5. There are so many its not even funny same goes with the H2 Hummer.

I got smoked by Ford Escort the other day. I wound 1st to redline; thinking it wasn't going to do the automatic shift from 1st to 2nd, I pushed forward on the shift. I must have done it at the same time the automatic shift happened because I went into 3rd gear. I had no power at that point, the Escort beat me.
