I drove in the Rick Case Acura 3.5CL OMFG......
Just got back from Rick Case Acura. Doug (SYNCIVIC) gave me a ride in the 3.5CL. All I can say is I gotta get those engine mods.
The car has so much freakin torque it was making me a bit queasy, sorry bout your shoes Doug.
Doug claims the car is not yet broken in yet, but we were pushing it pretty hard. The car rockets to 60, torque is prevalent everyewhere, low end, top end, you name it.
The car is pretty sweet too. RH C5000 wheels, custom silver interior wood trim, custom cross-drilled OEM rotors, gotta have them to stop this beast. Oh and the reason I was there, the red powder coated cylinder head covers. Very nice.
In case you weren't aware MCHTYPES on the CL board already had his CL turned into a 3.5 beast. This is a true sleeper. From the outside, you'd never know what lies beneath.
The number I heard from Doug was 315hp. I think this is the stage II version. You better believe it's there.
If that wasn't enough, I drove in this guy's yellow turbocharged Type R. Sorry, but I can't remember his name. This thing makes the 3.5CL seem very slow. This thing is a damn jet car cloaked in a Type R body. He claims it's not yet been tuned, and he expects it to be much faster, I believe he said something like an 11 sec quarter miler. Good god.
Well my day is complete. Thanks Doug for the ride. Your car rocks...same for the Type R Now I gotta drive around this week in my rental Dodge Intrepid.
BTW, hey Wayne, when you gonna start doing these mods? I'll be the guinea pig.... Screw the supercharger.

Another believer! Whatever the power numbers are... they certainly don't do justice to the pull the car is capable of.

HOLY SHIT!!!
what's going on over here... I know I have been gone for a little while, but DAMN...
I heard about the 3.5 CL, but didn't they say that the engine won't last more than a year or so? Well, that's what I heard from the TL meet......

The best part is that the car looks virtually stock. Except for the new wheels, cross-drilled rotors, and some beey tires, you'd never know the difference.

I believe the cost was $3500 for Stage II, but that was for me because I already have headers. Probably add another $1300 to the price if you don't have them already. Still a huge bargain.
It is offered by the dealer, but currently only by Rick Case Acura in Florida. They were the ones that came up with this idea. Sorry. Doug said that Wayne at Park Ave Acura in NJ was looking into it.
PLEASE WAYNE....I'LL BE YOUR BEST FRIEND
