Question Was I bad???

Well I bolted out of work early friday afternoon because I had this box of Zaino stuff sitting at home.

My car is brand new (1 week) so I fired up the hose and a little Dawn blue and went to town.

Then I started with the Z1. Then went with the Z2. I saw nowhere on the bottles anything of a waiting time until I read some more posts today.

The car looks AWESOME

But did I do a bad thing????

I think typically the manufacturer advises that you don't use polishes etc. for a couple of months or so from the date of painting to allow the paint to cure and set.

If you had no problems, I wouldn't worry about it. Now if you started getting paint on your cloths then that is a problem.

There was no paint on any of the cloths. I guess I was wondering from the "Zainoites" if I did something wrong by not waiting 24 hrs between Z1 and Z2?

You're OK

You only need to wait until the Z1 is dry before applying the Z2 (or Z5).
You wait 24hrs before you put on the next coat of Z2 or Z5, unless you're using the new ZFX additive that speeds up the curing process.

Also remember that when you buy a new car it's usually aleast a few months old, the piant is more than cured.

Exactly... now you can pickup your car, Dawn and wax it the same day... no problems. I dawned, claybarred, and waxed mine 4 days after I picked it up.....
