How tight is the tranny drain plug ???

I was going to change the tranny fluid on my TL-S this morning but after I jacked up my car and inserted the 3/8" ranch into the drain plug, no matter which way I tried to turn, the drain plug would not move a bit. I did not want to use too much force since I might screw up the thread. Has anyone had this problem before ? If I am facing my car, I should push the ranch forward (or counter clock wise) to loosen the plug right ?

Please advice.
