How to program garage door opener with rolling code?
I have a garage door opener with a rolling code, and I can't seem to program the dang Homelink remote in the car. I've tried holding the garage remote button down while holding down the Homelink button, holding down the homelink button then pressing the "Add a Remote" sequence on my control panel, etc. with no luck.
Does anyone have any idea? I have a Liftmaster 1265 chain drive with the keypad and remote control panel with Open, Lock and Light buttons.

after you program the button in your car using the opener's remote, you will need to hit a button on the opener to start it's learning mode. while the light is flashing, you will need to press (and maybe depress again several times) the button in your car until you are able to turn off that light.
this is what i did to my car and i believe it is what is written in the manual.

Yes daverman you should be abale to do it very easy.
If I can do I think you can just read the manual good. The rolling code was a problem at first then I had to read the manual again & I had did something wrong. I programmed in 2 doors in 10 mins this was a SEARS Craftman model with keypad that has the rolling code. I say its easy but I gave up the first day because it did not work. The second day it took me about 7 mins on 1 door & 2 on the other. Another thing to remember is when its done the range of the opener might not be that long. You need to push & hold the button for the door to open.

Thanks guys, I'll try it again. I just re-read the manual and I was holding down the wrong key combination on my remote unit. Duh! I'm going to try again this evening when I get home.
