How much are you guys with over 100k selling your cars for?
Well in a couple weeks, I plan on helping my parents sell their car. However, I'm not really sure how much I should ask since the tranny problems are scaring half of potential buyers away.
The car is 2001 Laguna Green with 95K miles. All maintenance records done at the dealership. Exterior is in good condition.
Retail says 15K, Trade-in says 10K, Private party says 12K
Are Acura dealerships giving good trade-in values even with no tranny warranty after 100K? How's everyones luck been in selling their car with 100K miles or more? Thanks in advance for any help.

Dealer will more likely to low balled you...I think...correct me if I'm wrong!
But yeah, as Penance said...private party is the best way to try out your luck.
Good luck!

Oh Hullow
use craigs list... i got more calls from there than i did from autotrader.. (i posted my car on both)... as a reference i sold a 2000 maxima with 95k miles fully loaded for 8k last month... you should get about the same neighborhood for it.. (8-8500) dont expect too much more though... b/c the tranny problem really hurt their value.

there is a buyer for everything... advertise as much as you can (and word your ads right). Be patient (although 4 months is patient enough, I think), run around with big letters on your car saying for sale....
I have not reached 100K miles and in troof, don't plan on selling the car, but that is how I have sold all my other cars (and there have been a few). Good Luck.
