How much are TL-S wheels worth?

I'm thinking of getting new wheels for my 2003 TL-S.

What would be a fair price to expect to get for my stock wheels with less than 2000 miles on the tires?

Currently, they aren't for sale since I haven't decided on which wheels, what size, etc.

I'm just curious as to how much I could expect to get for them.

Thanks.

that's a good price!!

bozzchem - don't expect much more then that. People are not willing to pay that much money for the stock rims. They would rather lay out the money for aftermarkets. Your best bet would be to try to sell them to Accord owners since that's a trend with them... they like to put the Type-S rims on the Accord... so try that strategy!!

let the record show me and syndicate from SHO were the FIRST to rock them on our Accords, shortly after the 01 CL-S was introduced

I sold a brand new set for $700 about 4 months ago. I think thats what you can expect to get for them. Considering a set of decent 18 inch custom wheels and tires cost a little bit over $1100 delivered, its hard to expect someone to pay anymore than that. I have seen people on the forums trying to get $900 for a set of used Type S wheels/tires and they are crazy!!

Good luck..

Yeah, I saw one around my block. This person has a Black Accord V6 with our wheels and Comptech exhaust. Definitely looks like our little brother. I think they would look better if he had drop his ride. The wheel gap was like

I would suggest to keep the stock wheels since you could use them for winter driving and use the new wheels on some other seasons.

Just my $0.02

Cheers !!!

I always thought about getting the TL-S wheels, and would love a set as my winter wheels, however, you should probably think about keeping them for yourself. If you ever want to sell the car, chances are most buyers are gonna want the stock wheels as well, not to mention the fact that if your aftermarket wheels get stolen, then what are you gonna do? It's always nice to have the stockers around as back up, just in case something happens.

I agree and should have posted this before.... I traded my stock rims/tires for my 18's and I had to go out and buy winter tires and rims.

Just save them for the winter.... plus, like accordv6 said... when you sell the car the buyer will probably want the stock rims anyway....

Wow...a Bay Area driver that's suggesting to use the stocks for winter...that's a first!

Personally I'd sell/trade them in since I rarely get to see snow except when I want to skii.

If CHP's are enforcing chains...they could care less what tires you have.

I live in NC, so winter tires aren't much of an issue. We get bad weather every couple of years or so. I agree that a new owner may want the stock wheels....but that's 3 or more years down the road. I don't want to store them that long.

Plus, the significant other will not b!tch as much if I can get @ half the cost of a new setup.

I appreciate all of your advice.
