How much should a 99 TL , 4 new all season, and snow tire cost

I just found out that my 4 tires begin to slip , and stuff, and i want to get new 4 tires. should i get new 4 season , or 4 snow tire, but then my friend said when spring comes, u gotta change back to 4 season if u buy 4 snow tire. so that is like 8 tires in total, and that is super expenseive. i just wanan know if i should buy 4 all seasonal tires or 4 snow tire, and how muhc is it a resonable price + installation. i drive my car msotly on highway, should i buy snow tire or 4 seaona tire.

it all depends on your driving and how bad your winters are. most people change to snow tires. i'm the the northeast and the winters are pretty bad sometimes, but i can get away with all seasons. all my cars have all sseaons. if you want to buy all seasons, look around to see what's best, there's no perfect all season tires, but you can gain some here, but loose some there. winter tires though, are strictly for winter, dont' know much about those since i do'nt shop for them, but the treadwear is really fast and the tires themselves are loud. can someone else back me up on this..

Go all-season, less expensive and there are some good all-season tires that handle well in the snow. Check out tirerack.com that site will let you know exactly what to buy and give you reviews from people that have bought those tires.

here's a whole thread on the topic and some comparisons:

i feel quite strongly that no all-season tire will ever come close to handling as well as any good snow tire when it comes to winter driving and extremely cold weather. of course, you can only do what you can afford, and if the extra set of tires puts you too far in the hole --- don't do it. if it's something you have the money for, i would get the set of snows + tires for the spring without a second thought. tires are your most important safety feature!

go for winters and then save for rims and tires for spring...that's what I'm doing... the stock rims will have winters on them and I'm working on rims and tires for spring/summer.
