stock muffs 5hp+ 50.00 should sound sweet with out the pre muffs
intake manifold 10hp+ free
and a custom upper intake plate...'M-mod' having it fabericated price unknown--- few case of bud probably



im being generous with ratings. I just hope my tranny holds up 99% of the work i'll be performing myself.

259hp !!! 1 hp less than stock since I have a rear spoiler installed. Otherwise, my TL-S baby is bone stock.

Hmmm... I really don't know what I have. Based on my mods I'd guess a little over 270hp... however, since I have not had a dyno... I don't know... and neither does anyone who posts here until they do a dyno.....

ok this will defently be a repetitive question
but can some one who has the time and patines make a list simular to the one above of what can be done to the TLS to increase horsepower aprox what is does, how much power adn cost of part??? if any one can i will appreciate it greatly... thanx

rysky - that would be awesome...i remember in the stillen catalogs they have the products broken down by model, and theres a chart that tells you the expected hp gain of each piece...definitely worthwhile information.

anyone know where we can find this info all in one place??

anyone know off hand how much clearance we got from the top of the intake to the hood.... '02-'03
i guess i could always get some play-dough and place it on the intake and shut the hood... forget the 'M' mod--- i might have something that is available right now!!!!!! from ACURA
Today I had a spanking new acura MDX roll in for its first oil change. When I popped the hood the first thing that i noticed was how large the engine cover was. So what did I do I pulled it off I noticed that the MDX has a 1-2inch spacer between the lower and upper intake...This is used to increase TQ. The intake manifold has the dual stage same as the type S which makes me believe it probably is the same intake/bolt pattern....

Correct, but increasing intake runner length increases low end torque, at the expense of top-end HP. With only 1-2 inches, though, it's tough to say how much difference it'll make.

mp3coupe its not u can add every hp gain together.......most of those gains are stock tl's that got only that part installed......so if u put i/h/e u dont get a total of 50 hp...........

i have aem cai, hks exhaust, and apex'i v-afc tuned and pulled out 220 hp at the wheels

stock tl-s only run like 180-190 at wheels stock
